Acceleration of the Licensing Procedures of Investment Projects   
 
During the recent years, the Cyprus government has taken effective measures for improving the business and investment climate, reducing bureaucracy and streamlining administrative procedures.

Along these lines, the Council of Ministers has recently decided for the acceleration of procedures for obtaining the necessary permits during the implementation phase of investments and the establishment of businesses. Therefore, the Foreign Investors Service Centre has been assigned with the evaluation of the investment proposals submitted, based on pre-determined criteria, and the subsequent recommendation of the investments proposals, that are deemed to be beneficial for the Cyprus economy, to the appropriate governmental authorities, in order to accelerate the procedure for obtaining the necessary permits.
