Nest Investments Group operates in 22 countries spread over Middle East, North Africa, Asia, Europe. The group's activities consist of Reinsurance, Direct Insurance, Insurance Broking, Selected Real Estate development and Licenced Operations such as World Trade Centre operations.  The Reinsurance head quarters is based in Bahrain and enjoys a BBB+ (with positive outlook) secured rating from Standard and Poor’s and an A- (with positive outlook) from AM Best rating agency. The subsidiary also has branches in Cyprus and Malaysia.

 
The Direct insurance operations are carried out in Cyprus, Algeria, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Syria and Libya. The Direct Insurance subsidiaries Holding Company is also based in Cyprus.
 
The Group carries out selected real estate developments projects. So far projects are - either completed or in progress - in Qatar, Algeria, Lebanon, Bahrain, Palestine, UK and Southern Spain. The insurance broking activity is based in London through a Lloyds and FSA registered and regulated Company.

Nest Investments was established in Cyprus during 1990. The reasons for choosing Cyprus were many but can be summarized as follows:

The Group through another Holding company again based in Cyprus owns 19 Licenses in the Middle East, North Africa and Cyprus. The operations include economically powerful countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Algeria.
 
The Group employs 700 personnel of which 50 are based in Cyprus. With the exception of 3, all other members of staff and management employed in Cyprus are either Cypriot or EU Citizens.
 
The current taxation regime provides the lowest corporate tax in the European Union (10%). We also find Cyprus to be one of the best locations for establishing a holding company.
