Phidias Pilides

Phidias Pilides is the Chairman of the Board of CIPA (Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency) and the Chief Executive Officer of PriceWaterhouseCoopers Cyprus which has more than 850 staff, including 44 partners. As CEO, he represents PwC Cyprus on the Board of PricewaterhouseCoopers Eurofirms. He began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in London and has subsequently transferred to the firm in Cyprus and became a partner in 1983. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Mr. Pilides has been involved extensively with the affairs of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Cyprus of which he has served as President for two years. In addition to being Chairman of the Board of CIPA, he is actively involved in other business and cultural organizations including: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University of Cyprus; Member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Vice-President of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and President of the Cyprus Russia Business Association. He has written many articles and publications and has been a presenter on a number of seminars on the role of Cyprus as a regional financial and commercial centre.
