Chris Koufaris

Chris Koufaris is an independent business consultant / director of a number of international businesses. From 1995 to 2009 he held the position of the Managing Director of Kardex Systems Ltd, the Cyprus subsidiary of the Zurich based KARDEX Group, a worldwide leader in dynamic storage systems, responsible for the MEA India and the Far East Region. In 1975 he graduated the London School of Economics with a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics and then worked in London for 5 years with a Big Four accountancy firm. He qualified in 1978 as a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and has since been a member of the ICAEW and also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).  

He has served as a member of the Board of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and held the post of the President of the Cyprus International Businesses Association (CIBA) from 2003 to 2008. He is currently a Director of CIBA and also a member of the Authority for the Supervision and Development of Cooperative Societies.
