Working as a team in Cyprus since 1978, the Uniteam Marine Management Group is nowadays actively involved in all aspects of ship management and has expanded into a multinational company. Offices are based in Cyprus, Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, Singapore and Myanmar. The group is active in full management, operations, crew management, technical management, financial administration, consultancy and ISM/ISO 9001:2000 services.

Uniteam Marine has always worked to provide the highest level of quality in all operations. Our strategy, since the company's formation, has been one of teamwork and communication. With 30 years of experience, the firm manages a fleet of vessels ranging from 2,000 to 170,000 dwt comprising of Multi-purpose, Container vessels and Bulk carriers under various flags.

Uniteam Marine Limited was incorporated in Cyprus in 1986 by Mr. Gerhard Ruether. Cyprus was identified as a good base for the international operations of Uniteam Marine due to the strategic location in the Eastern Mediterranean, English based legal system, double tax treaties, excellent banking system and a well educated industrious work force. To overcome the problem of the ever increasing shortage of experienced and qualified crew, Uniteam Marine has invested in a combined on board and shore training programme. Originally starting with 30 Cadets in 1978, we have gradually increased the number of Trainees to more than 250 in various departments.

All Uniteam Marine Trainees receive personal training prior to joining and depending upon their specialization they also attend seamanship, technical or catering classes at Uniteam Marine’s training centre. All Officers and ratings undergo company-specific training on various subjects relevant to their rank and qualification at the company’s own Bridge and Engine Simulators.

Training is carried out by experienced Masters and Engineers who have served on board Uniteam Marine’s managed vessels for years and includes Vessel Resource Management and Bridge/Engine Room Team Management Courses, conducted in co-operation with a leading Maritime Training Institute of Singapore.
